This project consisted of the construction of a multi-use recreational trail in the City of Ely.  This involved construction of a bituminous paved trail around Miners Lake and included links to the Mesabi Trail, a 132-mile cross-range trail from Grand Rapids, MN to Ely, MN.

The trail also includes a link to the International Wolf Center and the Vermilion Community College.

JPJ Engineering provided:

• Preliminary planning
• Topographic survey and design
• Bidding
• Construction management utilizing ISTEA federal funds for a portion of the project.
