The JPJ Miracle League Field

Hibbing, MN

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

The concept of the JPJ Miracle League Field was developed by a group of local residents who saw a need for a baseball field that allows children with mental and physical disabilities the experience of playing America’s favorite pastime.

Project details included:

  • Site design
  • Engineering services
  • Worked with local volunteers, the City of Hibbing, and many other organizations to ensure the proper construction of the JPJ Miracle League Field.

Bennett Park in Hibbing was chosen as the appropriate site and funds were secured from the Pohlad Family Foundation and Minnesota Twins. The field quickly came to fruition with a long list of financial donations and contributions from the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB), St. Louis County, the business community, and residents of Hibbing.
