Scenic State Park Campground

Big Fork, MN

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Scenic State Park is located in Itasca County, seven miles east of Big Fork. This development started in 1933 and was the first CCC state park camp to begin operating within Minnesota. The park's overnight facilities include campsites (boat-in, drive-in, and backpack) and a cabin.

JPJ Engineering provided feasibility reports, preliminary designs, final designs, and construction services.

JPJ Engineering worked with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Parks and Recreation, the Department of Natural Resources Facilities and Operations Support, and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

The goal of this project was to make long-term improvements to the sanitary sewer system that resulted in a non-discharging system, compliant with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's standards.
